Im not sure about what is going to happen, if anything at all.
but .... if something does happen , and im a non believer sitting at home when it does, then i guess it's too late to do anything then.
but.... if im unsure, and dont want to risk it, just in case, i would be making a plan on how to survive, stocking provisions aswell as thinking about the nasty future that would be all around us, and having a place to go to, away from the mass population.
Im a level headed person, but this cant be ignored, or at least, i cant ignore it, so im stocking up and making plans, and if nothing does happen, then i will be overjoyed, and wont need to go shopping for a while, but if it does happen !!!!!!!! then there wont be any shops to go shopping in anymore, and money wont be worth the paper its printed on.
I may start selling buckets of sand, for people to bury their heads in..... it may do well.
if you do take precautions for the future, i salute you.
Just one thought though...... if it does happen, and im safe in my chosen spot (will it really be safe, who knows?) i will be weeping for the world.
and if im in my spot, and nothing happens...... i will be laughing and celabrating, (and not thinking about shopping for a while.

21/12/2012 is not the end of the world. there will be no giant planet, no commet, no space men coming to carry home the righteous. BUT, the earth will change towards the end of 2012 and here's how. Scientific fact.. the earths magnetic field is weakining. we are on the verge of a polar shift. this has happened before so its not on the same scale as talking about commets and new planets. the recent earthquakes and tsunamis are evidence of our weaking magnetic field. the weak magnetic field cannot hold the earths tectonic plates in place hence the earthquakes. Unfortunately NASA has predicted large solar storms for the end of 2012 as well. This my friends is where our major problem lies. If we are hit by a solar flare at the same time our magnetic field is either weak or non existant then bang goes the entire worlds electricity supply. Transformers will explode and power lines will melt. It will take the full manufacturing capability of the world several years to replace damaged transformers. But how do factories operate with no power supply? so perhaps people on this forum are right not to worry too much about the end of the world because there's not one thing they can do about it if i'm right, and judging by recent events its hard to argue that i'm right. but people should also be mindful about being so flippant about coming events. Us naysayers are not being flippant because we're well aware that natural disasters occur, and can at anytime! We just don't believe this has anything to do with Mayan or any other doomsday prophecy!
