We can all have more than 4 years left on this Earth as long as some wacko right wingnut job doesn't blow up this Earth! Intellectual enlightenment will bring peace to all on earth. Right wingnuts breed fear through their superstitious beliefs, but with Intellectual enlightenment we can beat the fear of the dark and bring the spark of light through knowledge.

Intellectual enlightenment is the doctor, society is the patient, religion is the cancer. This cancer is eating away at society! With any cancer the doctor must cut out the cancer so the patient can heal and become strong again. When left untreated the cancer will kill the patient.

Don't be so hard on the religions. It's the people's interpritations of then that are the problem. All religions promote love and peace, none of them are evil, the people who misinterpreted them are to blame for the fact that we are losing our faith in God. I personally believe that God is not some guy in the sky, God is everything including us, every religion says that God is inside us. We all are One, we are a part of this energy called LOVE.

More and more people are pushing religion out of lives, schools, cities, societies. is it strange that all this is happening while we are ignoring god? there will come a time when you ask god for help, and he just wont listen. i feel sorry for you.

hey there
people are not ignoring god they are just making room for them to worship god in their own way, you god is the same as mine, but you see it as a person or something you ask favors too. what you havent realized is that god is within you you are part of god and you should not feel sorry for them because it allows you to believe what you want to believe not somebodys theories that where taught at your school.

What do you mean with "all this"? What's happening?

The world's a better place. Ten thousand years ago people died hunting their own food. One thousand years ago people died of diseases now extinct. Five hundred years ago people died burned by the Catholic Church. Today, live expectancy is 70+ years in many countries. Only one thousand years ago, it was ~30. What's "happening" while we are ignoring the gods? Diseases are being cured? People are more free?

Do you think that working 10 hours a day in a boring place sucks? That the world's full of corruption because some guys robbed you a year ago, or because some girls have sex before being 18? You should read a book of history. Imagine a band of raiders burning your village to ashes, killing you, and raping your family. THAT sucks. Imagine your daughter married and pregnant at 11 because it's a social standard. That's corrupt.

Our world today's a paradise. Everytime I go outside and there's no inquisitor waiting to burn me just because I don't believe in his god, I smile.

The illusion is that God is not love. God must be love. If God were evil, all things would already be dead. The co-existence of good and evil is a mystery, which can be overcome by prayer. My two cents ... which amounts to next to nothing.

A hypothesis for thought: God is omniscient, omnipotent, and malevolent. How else to explain the depth and breadth of human suffering? Those who note God's occasional mercies merely point out his diabolical mischief, making us aware of how much better things could be if He were so inclined. Since He is not so inclined, we mortals suffer disease, natural disasters, and untold cruelties at the hands of those He has chosen to put in seats of power. He toys with us as a cat toys with a bird, permitting us our moments of hope and joy only to take His pleasure in crushing hope and extinguishing joy.

Many prefer to believe that God is omniscient, omnipotent, and benevolent, but if you give it honest consideration, the evidence for a malevolent Creator is just as compelling, just as persuasive, as the evidence otherwise.

I happen to believe neither, since neither makes an ounce of sense.
