Nostradamus 2012

Nostradamus was a French prophet that published a book called "The Prophecies" in 1555. His future predictions were hidden in quatrains which make them difficult to interpret. Nostradamus described the destruction of the “New City” in 1999 by flying machines. Was he only a couple years off from predicting 911?

Nostradamus 2012

Postby dvdludlum » Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:33 am

I respect that there are those who don't share the same beliefs as I do. I believe in Christ and that he is coming soon. And that no one knows of when. By Predicting anything for the future to be taken seriously like those predictions of Nostradamus, is like promising tomorrow. But nobody is promised tomorrow, let alone the next thirty seconds. If the world "ends" in 2012, then that means that it can't possibly end before then, thus, predicting, in theory, the second coming of Christ. He made some predictions and people called him a "prophet", but people have twisted his words around and around and around again so many times that hundreds of years ago, you could find someone to say that Nostradamus may have "predicted" the outcome of the new episode of CSI. You can take anything out of context. Especially these things.
I guess we'll all just laugh when December 22, 2012 comes around, the day after the world is supposedly going to burst into flames, or be hit by a comet, all the same.
False Prophet is all that I can say.
But in other religions as well.
Does predicting the end times not go against your beliefs either?

I'd love to hear what you have to say.

I agree that things like Nostradamus get twisted.
From what I know, his writings are all about interpretations. The text itself can be taken in a number of ways, and is.
Same with the bible.
I'm an atheist so I have no comment on the bible, but from reading posts here I find religious people making many interpretations on what is written in the bible.
It's the same thing.
The whole 2012 is fueled by ruminations, and believers of it will find words that will support it anywhere they can.
And, like you said, in the pursuit of new evidence, everything is taken out of context.
Just the fact that there are so many conflicting theories about this date is good evidence of that.

It's also said that there will be seven years of tribulation after the second coming of Christ and then ultimately the end of the world. If you believe this, it's somewhere in the book of revelations, but That means 2012-2009 is less than seven years...so this means its not possible for Christians like us.

I am not a long winded person, but I do believe we are near the return of Christ. We are in the Season. All of what is happening in the world should give us a clue. 2009 will cement my thoughts..I am preparing for the worst..just hoping my faith is good enough.

Nostradamus wrote about the world after 2012. He stated that humans have a choice in this era. The world leaders either stop all wars and then peace and harmony will come throughout the world or World War 3 will happen and this will have a devastating effect on our world.

What about what the bible says about the end. I'm not trying to dispel Nostradamus' intelligence but he's not God. I believe no one knows when the end will come however, I suspect if you are under the age of 50 you'll be around to witness something truly unimaginable.

I would like to discuss and point out a few similarities from some "historical records".
"During the appearance of
The Bearded Star, the three
great princes will be made
enemies. The shaky peace on
earth will be struck by fire
from the skies. Po, The
winding Tiber, a serpent placed
on the shore." C2 Q4

MABUS will soon die,
Then will come a horrible
slaughter of people and animals
At once vengeance revealed coming
from a hundred hands
"Thirst and Famine when
The Comet shall pass
C2 Q72"
What is interesting to note is that all most all of the Ancient texts say something about a celestial object who's tail rains fire upon the earth or the object its self breaks apart and rains fire. Also when the comet arrives it also causes the heavens to falter their course indicating a shift in earths rotation or a pole shift. What is really interesting is that when this happens the inundation takes place and causes great slaughters of people and animals. Scientist have found caves filled with human and animal remains by the tons and they have no explanation as to how it could have happened. Also when a wave of water washes over a city it'll leave nothing untouched causing famine and thirst and contaminating any fresh water source. What I believe he is hinting at is a pole shift effected by a celestial object in space that is talked about in many ancient texts such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Mayans, Hopis, Aztecs, Toltecs and so many others. What puzzles me is how on earth did they all come up with the same idea? Unless it was a world wide devastating event. Any other thoughts from people I need more information to look up and research.

There's a book written about Nostradamus predicting a global catastrophe occurring in August 2008. Nothing catastrophic did happen but it was just about the time the global recession started. Funny that !!!

Yeah it is, Nostradamus also predicted the 9/11 plane attacks it was written something like "Metal birds ripping up two brothers" Or something like that. A lot of things Nostradamus predicted have come true, in fact I think all of his predictions have come true, seeing as he is mentioned on all of the sites such as this one.

What with this global recession starting in August 2008 and now the New World Order. Gordon Brown actually mentioned the New World Order in this summit. He's actually admitted to it. And don't fall for this difference in opinion between Britain/US and continental Europe; they're all in on it together. It proves David Icke and other conspirators were right all along. It's all coming true as we head towards 21.12.2012. Skeptics, eat your heart out !!! :|
