I've had a vision about 2012, but it wasn't no comet.

Can our dreams predict future events? We spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping. It seems that this time must be pretty significant. Many people including myself have had dreams that foretold future events. Do we all have psychic powers locked inside of our brains.

I've had a vision about 2012, but it wasn't no comet.

Sometimes before falling asleep or waking up I get weird dreams, dreams I can remember, and even control a little. Most of the time they're pretty ridiculous, but a few weeks ago I had one that scared me straight to a waking state and gave me a migraine. I was watching TV in the dream and the emergency broadcast signal came across. At first I couldn't make sense of it, but slowly I could make out something about ways to prepare. The broadcast was still going on about what to do when the lights went out. So I'm thinking the bombs, they finally launched the bombs. I ran out of the house to see, but everything looked OK, sunny day, birds singing, I'd never heard such silence during the day. People started coming out of their houses and their cars. Traffic was stopped dead in the street. Suddenly the neighbors kid's jumping up and down and pointing up, I looked and saw the silhouette of a passenger plane coming down at a steep angle, followed by a loud explosion about a mile away. I found myself screaming what the hell is going on here! The neighbor's wife came over and said haven't you heard? It's the sun! Then I woke up.
Since this happened I've been obsessed with this particular apocalypse. From what I've gleaned the Mayan calendar is based on (among other things) the sun's 11 year activity cycles. The heliosphere is down 25 % and the sun seems to be breaking it's predicted pattern for this cycle. In 1869 a solar flare launched a huge cloud of charged plasma that hit the earth, if that same event to occurred today, it would be absolutely devastating to our technology and to those who depend on it for their safety or survival. I fear what's coming could be much worse. Imagine what would happen if all the machines died tomorrow leaving their human masters defenseless.
Just in case, I won't be flying, I'll be making a 3 month stockpile of rations, and have been making faraday cages to stash enough tech to survive at a tolerable level.

Good Luck and God Bless,

P.S. I'm really gonna miss the Internet....

Fascinating idea a solar storm takes out most communication equipment, the only folk that misses such are those dependant on it, meanwhile the rest of the planet keeps going missing neither the tech or the resulting downturn.

But such would also be a wake up call, we adapt to situations rather than create solutions.

You can control your dreams too? I can manifest what I dream about and see other worlds. I can also see out of some one else's eyes. The five tornadoes that hit Oklahoma I was in it, the flood of India I was underwater. Wow are you or do you have ESP?

I've had a few dreams like that, and I've been able to control them to an extent. The whole idea of dreams is based solely on your reality and how much it can absorb. Say for example, you take in 100 bytes of data into your brain. Your brain is a super computer, and it takes time to process this information. However, if you take in 100,000 bytes of data per min/sec/whatever, into your brain. So for everything that happens in the world, your world/reality, is what you will dream. Hidden information in numbers, words, songs, music, movies and even dreams. This is where ideas come into play, and your brain processes this at your given speed.
You're predicting something that has been, is happening, or is to be. Whether in this generation or last, or in future.
My dream was quite similar. And I believe it was due to me hearing that South Korea (I think, not sure, sorry) Or north Korea(again, not sure) has enough plutonium to create 3+ nuclear weapons or such, but are about 2-3 years from being able to produce them.
Now take that, the events that may or may not happen in 2012, (I believe in the coming of our father, the great comet that once seeded our beautiful world. Brief explanation of my belief. I believe that it seeded earth millions and millions of years ago, creating the organisms that are today, and is due again in 2012. Whether or not it hits our planet depends solely on our orbit to the sun. I believe it will pass us, but send us to a dark age. The giant magnetic energy from its passing will cause that.) Anyway
Yes, now take the Koreans ability to create the weapons, and knowing their past with war and greed, and being afraid of everyone else, (not just them, but everyone has a fear of someone, ie, maybe China fears Russia), also the coming of the digital age (where everything pretty much goes digital/basically electronic devices), and then the giant passing of the comet, which will disrupt/cancel/send all the digital/electronic devices back to the stone age. But where does that put Korea? Analog? What happens to analog? Does it revert too? :P
I dunno just my idea/theory, take it for what it is.

Cheers,
-Proto

Don't worry too much - we would see it coming, and could switch everything off when it hits. If you break the electric circuit, a current can't flow and there is no damage.

This is all really interesting, and I have been reading into it a lot lately but I just don't believe it.
Yeah, I have weird dreams too, like when I dreamed about a cruise ship washing up on a rocky shore, sure enough the next day I woke up and was watching the news and guess what happened? A royal Caribbean cruise liner had hit a rocky coast and all the passengers survived, but had to be evacuated immediately.

I have also had dreams where I can fly, and even one where I have lived in a shoe-not a joke- and I don't think our dreams have supernatural powers, they are, as guest said, just a way for us to process information but we can't process information that isn't available or doesn't exist. The way I see it, people enjoy fear, just look at haunted house, horror and sci fi movies where people are eaten alive by aliens. Yeah, I'm sure if you had a dream about aliens eating you while you were sleeping and drooling you would believe that too. I have heard it said that "dreams allow the repressed parts of the mind to be satisfied through fantasy while keeping the conscious mind from thoughts that would suddenly cause one to awaken from shock." Again back to the fear thing, people need fear, they crave it like why do you ride roller coasters? For the thrill and feeling of fear and boost of adrenaline caused by it-almost like a drug. Fear heightens or senses, like when someone is in a close to death experience and they are able to do things with their mind and body unimaginable. What this quote above means to me is, just as we crave love, peace, safety, (all very emotionally involved subjects). We also require a certain amount of fear to keep working and fighting for our own survival. Think of at work, do you fear missing a project or a meeting, or making a mistake because you FEAR the consequences?

All that I'm saying is fear is necessary, and you may be feeling a side of fear you have never felt before, a fear on a large scale that is trying to get you to work and live because you don't know when your end is.

Interesting dream - I had a friend that also said she saw the same thing and it had to do with the Sun, that was back in 1991. In the past week on TV there's been a lot of talk about Solar Storm activity and the weakening of the earths atmosphere on two different stations.

Not all dreams are about our working out our stuff, some are premonition and some are our psyches working things out, you have to learn the difference. For example, at one point I was doing therapy and I shared a dream that a friend of mine who was pregnant came to visit me with her sister and she had a baby girl. The therapist went into psycho analyzing my dream and the next week my friend had a baby girl and her sister came to stay with her which was not planned by her at all. I knew it was a premonition dream but the therapist didn't want to go there. After a while you can tell the difference. I also lucid dream where I can interact in the dream state with the character in the dreams but many times I've found myself dreaming in the future not as an observation but interacting. One time I was at a flood scene and I was trying to find out what the date was, I asked someone in the dream and then they looked at me strange or suspiciously so I backed off. Then another time I was in the future and the future warned me to get out of a certain area because it wasn't a safe zone. I don't think that it's exactly 12/21/2012 but sometime around that time that something will happen could be before or even after but some astronomical event of great importance.

I was watching a program on the history channel or read somewhere that the 666 was wrongly translated that it was actually 999, now let's see. 09/09/09 what does it mean, I don't know??? :o

There are those on this website that are absolutely saying B.S. to throw you off, those that know the facts know who you are. MOST IMPORTANT DON'T LOOSE FAITH IN YOURSELF OR YOUR NOTHINGNESS, BE TRUE TO YOURSELF.

I had a similar dream about a year ago. I was driving home on a bright sunny day. It was incredibly quiet, calm and clear outside. I pulled into an unfamiliar driveway and paused before going into the house. Right before walking into the house, something began raining down from the sky...almost like flashes of lightning. I went inside the house and the scene changed. I then saw people running for and crowding into churches to pray on the alter and hide under the pews. There were so many people that the churches couldn't hold them and they were crowded at the entrances attempting to force their way in. It seemed as though people were selectively targeted. For instance, two people would be side by side at the altar, but only one would be struck. A person could be hidden under another person and the person underneath would be struck. I woke up in tears shaking.

I kinda had a vision too.. well the same thing happened 2 times.

i was at my old house, it was sunny day.. i all of sudden noticed sky.. and it was turning out to be dark.. i heard someone coming from distance more like big craft or something big covering the sun and we lose light.. more like a eclipse.

I do remember shouting they are coming.. and i remember hearing bombarding kinda noise..

the dream and pain was so real.. and i remember each and every bit of dream. it happened like 2 times same dream.. even more creepy thing i had just shared the dream with my sister.. she had the same dream as i did.

don't know if it's someone coming or gosh no words.. but all i saw was so real. can never forget this dream ever..
