The anti - christ is talked about in the bible lots , so its the bible that will tell who it is. The person who wrote that he will be against Jesus is wrong, anti-christ isnt against christ but in the place of christ . That's a very direct point you make. "Anti" means against, to not support or validate. If we take the meaning literally, then every person who doesn't believe in God is an Anti-Christ. The word is often attached to evil but many people who dont follow a religion are very good people and would be surprised to find that they are viewed this way. To be Anti is to be against and not in place of, for example : If Satan/the Devil is viewed as the Antichrist, he is against christ and opposes christ, but he is a seperate entity, christ is still there. The only time he may replace christ is if you turn away from christ to follow Satan, the replacement only exists in the realm of worship and not a physical replacement.

Mark Woodman (deceased) was an evangelist who wrote theories on spirituality, the coming of Jesus and the rise of the Anti-christ. What has to be recognised here is that his theories were based upon his beliefs and the impacts these may have on spiritual and physical well being. he talked about Obama being connected to a wider affiliation to a singular world government and in that can be attached to having tendencies to world domination. If you stretch that notion further you could suggest that he could be an Anti-christ for singular dominance was not in the domain of Jesus teachings. You could say that many of his (Woodman's) seminars were directed towards creating a fear culture in order to assign followers to his faith. A lot of lay preachers do this.

My own view is that, we all have the capacity to be good or evil and so both traits exist in all of us, most of us choose to follow a positive path through life regardless of whether we have a faith or follow a religion. It is in truth a personal choice.
